We Remember Friday, But We Know Sunday's Coming
Tonight we gathered at FBC for a solemn remembrance of what Jesus did on that last Friday of His earthly life. We sang some congregational songs to help us focus our hearts and minds on the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross for our sin and then Pastor Wes took us to 2 Corinthians 5:21. That one verse says it all and Pastor Wes broke it down and laid it all out, so that we could understand the magnitude and importance of what Jesus did for this broken world that He loved---that He took on all sin, once for all and paid the entire price required by a just and holy God, so that we could be in Heaven with Him forever. I encourage you to watch the Live-stream. Good Friday was hard on those who lived through it at the time, but the people of Jesus' time didn't have the advantage that we do. Sure, Friday looks dark, but we know Sunday's coming and we know what happened on that glorious Sunday morning. We would love to have you come celebrate with us on Sunday morning at FBC. Joyringers, one of our handbell choirs, will be playing in the mall before the service starting about 10:30......
