Sitting Pretty in the Flowers
Spring means erratic weather and today proved it. Yesterday was sunny and in the 70's; today it is barely in the 50's, windy and overcast. All the small bees that are usually swarming the cherry blossoms right now were holed up somewhere, leaving only a couple of big lazy bumble bees - none of which would sit still for even a moment! Happily, several Tufted Titmice were darting in and out to grab seeds and this one perched among the blossoms long enough for a shot. The cherry trees are my favorite springtime photo perches - arching branches and loads of blossoms.
I had a yoga session this morning and enjoyed it very much, as usual. Jax was happy to lay on the sofa and snooze while I got my zen on.
Since Hubs and I were both feeling chilly, he started a fire which feels positively wonderful. Dog is stretched out warming his belly in front of the fireplace. Silly dog doesn't like to lay in the sun but he loves being as close to the fireplace as possible.
Hubs' 30 mile bicycle ride got rained out last night after only a couple of miles. Long enough for them to get totally soaked, unfortunately. But the club is riding every Thursday now, so lots of other opportunities.
I haven't dipped into the dark yet today but I have a bar of dark with dried cherries and nuts that looks quite tempting - just one square.
