Fabulous weather.
We headed out to Wilsontown in Lanarkshire for a dog walk and to see this historic site. There are grand trails around the extensive site where the second iron works in Scotland was located. The village at one time housed 2,000 workers in purpose built cottages. All that remains of them now are tussocked mounds where the collapsed houses lie. The dozens of bell pits are still plainly visible.
The building in the blip is the Wilsontown Inn, a public house where a murder was committed over a shilling owed. It dates from late 1700s.
Apart from the industrial history the walking trails are lovely.
