Wakehurst Place
We got up early to drive down to Kew’s partner garden, Wakehurst Place, home of the Millennium Seed Bank. We knew it would be busy there with children’s activities, which is why we set off so early (and because the later slots were all booked!) but it was only busy in a few areas so most of the time it was beautifully peaceful in the warm sunshine. Some lovely blossom on display but it was too early for much else. But we had a good walk, picnic lunch, and home early enough to still have some day left at home. Now, shall I go out and cut the grass or wait until it’s a bit drier tomorrow or Sunday? It’s getting quite long now.
