Bromeliad Flaming Torch

These bromeliads are amazing when they are in extreme shade. That's when they look fresh the longest. The one in my photo has caught a ray of low afternoon sunlight, giving it a torchlike quality. Fair dinkum, I thought this and said it to the Resident Gardener when I showed him the photo before I searched the internet for its name and there it was, Flaming Torch. Spooky!
