Santa Cruz Metro has teamed up with extraordinary local photographer Frans Lanting to showcase the environmental benefits of public transportation and promote ridership. The buses are wrapped in the work of this world-renowned artist and feature local references to whales, mountain lions and redwood trees. I’m not yet used to these massive rolling art pieces, but they do make you pay attention. I haven’t yet ridden the bus.
