Unexpected blue skies
Our early Thursday walk was a little later today as it is the Easter School hols. With some people away and one incapacitated we were low in number but it was a good walk non the less.
In a few weeks, following this alternative route, we shall be seeing bluebells along the way. This morning was dull and slightly damp but not the rain we had yesterday even though it was forecast. Even more surprising was the increasing amount of blue sky we could see as we returned to the village.
Arriving home I went straight into the garden to take this picture of the sky with the wispy cloud formation as a lovely backdrop to the opening Magnolias. Unusually the purple Magnolia Susan is opening at the same time as the pinky cream Soulangia this year. Still keeping fingers crossed that we avoid heavy frost that will damage them.
I put some washing on and out which has dried quickly as it became increasingly windy as the morning progressed. Some dark clouds appearing over St Ives Woods in the direction of Bingley now but on the whole an unexpectedly nice day!
