Luna moth

This morning I noticed this Luna moth sitting in one of our backyard bushes. This moth is not extremely rare, but a daytime sighting is, since they are a nocturnal creature. It stayed in that spot and never moved a millimeter all day but was gone by 9pm. 
They can not and do not eat and have a short lifespan, a week for this moth would be a good week. 
Nothing added for size comparison as I did not wish to particularly disturb it but this one was approximately 5” from wing tip to wing tip. A pretty cool critter and one that many people will never see.
