Spring flowers

A beautiful spring day. I cycled over to see my Mum. I hadn't seen the care home garden for a couple of weeks and it has really come alive with flowers. Around a small tree ( still to be identified - the branches are  bare at present) is a pretty bed of Fritillaria meleagris  (Snakes Head Fritillary) and  Anemone blanda. As for my Mother, she was in a good mood, looking forward to seeing her old tortoise in my garden at the weekend, and  also to seeing her sister who is coming to stay with me for a few days.
