Happy bee gorging on the goat willow flowers

It was beautifully sunny with clear blue sky all day. The air warmed by late morning after hard frosts, and then the goat willow tree came alive wih=th the sound of buzzing insect life.

There were many different types and sizes of insects but there was no need for competition as the whole tree was a mass of blossom. I lonely had to look out of my study window and point at the bees. I love this shot with the mass of pollen already gathered. Spring is springing into life, in places, although there will be more frost to come to spoil the general explosion of colour and vegetation that is imminent.
