New leaves

...of the Horse Chestnut tree.
When these leaves burst out of their tight buds they are always pointing downwards and a beautiful pale green.  Over time they will darken and become more upright.
I must say l was anxious about the Horse Chestnut trees in our park as after a very long, very hot and dry summer last year they started to flower and put out new leaves again last Autumn,  l wondered how they would fare  but they seem OK.
