Preston Caribbean Carnival is a long established part of the cultural calendar here. Last Sunday was the King and Queen competition, won by Isle of Harmony (their King pictured here and the Queen glimpsed here). This Sunday is the carnival itself. I'll be rehearsing a play all day, but hope we'll be let out to take a peek as the parade passes.
