Pretty as a pitcher……

……. Not a spelling mistake, just the common name of the insectivorous plant that this bloom belongs to. We have had this pitcher plant for quite a few years (in excess of five) and this is the first time that it has bloomed. It is so unusual and quite beautiful (in my humble opinion). I hope it lasts a while, having taken so long to appear.
The weather forecast for today wasn’t very good but when it was still dry by late morning, I gave up on the indoor jobs and spent a few hours out in the garden, tidying up another area while Bertie kept me company. The jobs are never ending but much more preferable to housework!
