'Waves of fog in the Valley'
Best viewed LARGE
We awoke to a thick pea soup fog out our way this morning, just brilliant for photography I though, so I grabbed the 50D and headed off to work. Had to make a quick stop at the bottom of our street at the train station because the lights in the thick fog looked so great. Next stop the top of the hill in Kangaroo Ground. As I drove up the hill, the fog disappeared and I didn't know what I would find over the ridge and WOW, this is the scene that was waiting. Like big thick waves of fog rolling through the valleys, it looked quite surreal. Then the sun started to come up over the hills to add some nice colour.
I stayed there for 5 or ten minutes to watch the scene unfold and could have stayed a lot longer if I didn't have to get to work on time.
The weather turned out to be a sensational late Autumn day today, sunny blue skies and a top of 18 degrees. Lots more work done on our roof today, all of the old corrugated iron has now been removed and replaced with colorbond tray decking, only needs cappings and the skylights fitted now, follwed by the carpenters finishing off the eave linings.
More good weather forecast tomorrow, and I have a visit to the country to look at two of our projects around the Daylesford area. Think the camera will come on the trip tomorrow too.
