Hanging out with Ewan
With Lucy scheduled for a work Zoom call this morning, Ewan and I decided to go to Salt’s Mill and browse the books’ gallery…..only it is closed, Mondays and Tuesdays apparently.
On the hoof, plan B was put into action - a walk up the hill to the Shipley section of Saltaire and coffee in a sunny Italian Café before returning to Soltaire train station and a 2 minute hurl to the actual town centre in Shipley before walking back along the Leeds - Liverpool canal to Robert’s Park and the path up Shipley Glen back home.
This afternoon, in need of replacing wine and definitely in need of an ice cream we had the choice of a long walk to the nearest shop in Baildon or a short bus trip there from a bus stop outside the door. It was a no brainer in the heat - a quick sortie to the Baildon Co-op, an even quicker aisle grab and home to chill the wine and freeze the ice cream.
Drinkies will be outside on the patio later- living the best life!
The sky all day has been deep blue, the sun hot, the birds chirping and the buds on the trees bursting with spring energy. How lucky have we been with the weather - it seems a long time ago since I was despairing of ever feeling warm again.
