Buttons and their holes

These tiny round buttons, with even tinier round holes for sewing on, are on a silk shirt I bought from JigSaw in the later years of my world at work. I liked it because it's a genuine Liberty Print design on the fabric. I wish I'd made more of this garment, worn it more, in place of my default to tee and tracky daks.

I did wear it recently, and washed it with like garments, hung them out to dry and when it came time to unpeg, alas I saw the fabric had given way at armpit level.

Lesson: when retired, dress up.
