Up "the Steps"

Many years ago Rene our trail maker made this trail up this steep rocky part….later we put that helpful rope at the very top.    This is part of the property we sold to the neighbor who has all these earth moving toys and has amazingly cleared out this forest.   But I wanted to see if we could still find the trail   Yep.  Easier to see.  I don’t dare do that anymore  (it’s a bit of a climb to even get this far) but H thought he’d see how it went…lots of debris but all there until above this part where it’s disappeared with disuse, I guess.  So he had to find a detour to the very top.    A wider pix of this part in the extra. You can see it goes off to the left before climbing up the rocks.  It’s interesting how close we are connected in so many ways to this bit of land and how it’s changing…
