Cloudy Sky

On a most welcome sunny day today we had a sky full of contrails which seemed to last forever, drifting and spreading so slowly across the sky. I note several similar blips of contrails, with comments regarding the large number and thus the pollution caused; my point is that these are the flights that we are seeing - most days we are not aware of them and the pollution may be much greater than that witnesed today.

This taken from the bus on our way home from the first Get Organised recital of the season at the Usher Hall, in which John Kitchen included Elegy, another piece by Graham Morrison, as it fitted his theme of meditative music for Holy Week. I greatly enjoyed the last piece, Marche Funèbre et Chant Séraphique Op 17 by Alexandre Guilmant which, along with slow, quiet and brisk passages, included several bars of trill on the pedals, requiring a lot of energy - you don't hear that very often!

Later we were down at the Vet's as Bramble has apparently acquired a urinary infection, the cause of recent atypical behaviour and is now to receive medication three times a day. We are not planning a holiday any time soon... .
