Renovation Of Thermal Element

Official speak for replacing roof tiles.

Day 1

We stripped off the old tiles from the back of the house, some felt and rotten lath. Loaded tiles into trailer and stashed rotten timber, felt and nails to be disposed of separately.

A warm sunny day, I sweated a lot and my back hurts. 

In the collage we see Gary and Rob stripping off old tiles, one of the tiles which has degraded so much that daylight can clearly be seen through the holes, rotten timbers and the terrible state of the soffit including birds nests and wasp nests. 

I will feel so much better when all this crud is gone and the new roof covering is in place. 

Do it all again tomorrow..
