Have I Reached The Party To Whom I Am Speaking?

When I saw that the Mono Monday challenge was "Communication", my first thought was that after 20 years in Communications for the Air Force, my husband might have something I could use.  He did have something for me but it wasn't from his military years.  My husband never knew his paternal grandpa, because he died before my in-laws got married.  But his dad's father had given him this old phone that needs some work, but it could actually be used.  This phone also made me think of Lily Tomlin's character, Ernestine, on Rowan and Martin's Laugh-in, hence the title I have given this blip---it was always one of my favorite lines she used.
