New mizzen mast

The new mizzen mast for the 120 year old wooden fishing boat, Reaper, arrived this morning. Here, it is being unloaded from the very long lorry which brought it. It is a laminated wood construction and hollow, unlike the original which was a solid tree trunk. It was funded by a generous anonymous donation. It was a lovely sunny morning, as can be seen in the view across the harbour in the extra.
