Beauty and the beast

And the beast is being removed - it was being smashed down in large crashing pieces when I walked into town this morning. The wind was freezing but at least it wasn't raining.

People popping out of the cafes that have opened on the newly restored New Regent St. It looks very pretty, but very isolated in a sea of demolition, condemned buildings, empty sections and shattered buildings awaiting their fate. I hope it's successful for the sake of the people who've been brave enough to go back and try to start again.
