Heavy lifting

Great excitement in the road as this enormous crane arrived in the street, parked in a near neighbour’s drive and got to work.

Two huge slabs of marble or granite were lifted onto the flat bed of the vehicle.

The crew doing the clever bit with hand held controls, lifted the items with incredible dexterity. The crane had more accurate movements than my own arthritic limbs allow.

No one seemed to mind my presence and camera.

I think the job was clearing up after the installation of a hot tub or spa or pool
