family foraging

I was busy checking the tree tops for fascinating birds, when Laney suddenly stood stock still. When I looked where she was looking this is what I saw.
This little family was as brazen as could be, not at all spooked by our intrusion. In fact, the buck started strolling over our way to protect his family while they breakfasted.
We just stayed in our lane and kept moving.
