Selby Gardens Sarasota Awesome Oak with Bromeliads

One of the finest trees in the Selby Gardens bayfront is a wonderful oak with many bromeliads attached to its branches! This is located near the Christy Payne mansion and creates a wonderful shaded lawn which is wonderful for special events and parties! When the house was a residence, I imagine it was the center of attention. Looking out to Sarasota bay, this is a special property, which is now a large botanical garden and research center. They have several wonderful greenhouses, many walking trails, childrens gardens, herb and edible fruit gardens...so much to see and enjoy. We were there for the West Cost Woman Spring Fling and so enjoyed the garden walks to get there.
