The First Spring Greens

A sunny and quite warm day, at last, saw us out  in the garden. The lower of our two small ponds has developed a leak due to the butyl liner perishing, so Martin has been baling out the water and mud in readiness for our landscaping friends  M and  O  who are coming tomorrow to replace the  liner. It's fortunate the upper pond is still ok so all pond life can be transferred there. Meanwhile,  I did a lot of pruning and some weeding elsewhere. I put Peter the tortoise on the patio, the warmest place in the garden, to help him  warm up, the plates on his shell acting like solar panels.  He even nibbled  a dandelion leaf.
