Kelpies

We had a family day out to celebrate the start of the Easter holidays.

We started by visiting the Kelpies, and we went on the tour to find out about them and go inside the "Head Down" one (Duke) on the left.  The "Head Up" Kelpie (Barron) on the right isn't accessible even on a tour.  Really interesting.

We went to the play area further down Helix Park for a bit, where CyclopsJnr clambered over, slid down spun or swung on just about everything.

We had lunch at a Scottish Tapas place in Falkirk, before heading off to the Falkirk Wheel.

We enjoyed the boat trip up in the wheel, through Roughcastle Tunnel to the turning point and back.  It's quite a feat of engineering.  We also enjoyed a game of mini-golf on the themed course there.  CyclopsJnr came very respectably between his parents on score.
