I had my real Music practical exam today.
I played drums for 20min, (I was only meant to play for 13min) and then I chatted with the examiner for a further 10 about my pieces (this section was also marked) and then finally we just talked about travel plans next year and careers etc.
Great examiner, really made you feel at home. I've never got nervous before playing - in fact i become the opposite. I just get incredibly confident and slightly arrogant. Oh well. At least it works for me.
Anyway - it concluded by him telling me "It was a privilage to finally hear and meet Eric King". I asked him how he knew my name (other than the fact it was written down in front of him) and as it turns out he was the Chief WJEC Music examiner. He had heard my name because of my previous years compositions that I had submitted and through the concerts and gigs that I play.
To tell you the truth - I was chuffed to little bits.
