Hungry Joe & Huple's cat

Not sure how many people remember the character of Hungry-Joe in Catch-22 . He's the pilot that always finishes the required number of missions to leave the war, but who is constantly forced to continue flying because by the time the paperwork has been signed, the number of missions required to stop flying has increased. He is the one on whose face Huple's cat sleeps.

I thought about this as I went to wake Ottawacker Jr. up for school - and found the scaredy-cat Charlie ready to make her move. He seemed to think it was cute. I didn't dare tell him what happened to Hungry Joe in the book.
