Live it loud!

Feeling some heat?

An ICM shot of a dahlia.

Another hard day doing little after a shortened swim this morning.
Seems the gym has been selling lots of new memberships - many new faces pootling up an down the pool at glacial pace, just getting in the way, stopping and talking like they're in their pool on holiday. Got fed up with the disruption after doing 30+ lengths due to being unable to keep a constant even rate. All the hassle makes swimming any distance awfully difficult and tiring. Would normally expect to be able to do at least twice that distance non-stop.
Then, to cap things off, the steam room was packed and well below temperature due to all the comings and goings too. Frustrating visit. Happens occasionally.
It will quieten down in a couple of weeks when the majority of the newbies get bored of the novelty of exercise and an uncomfortably cold pool (cold, unless of course your are swimming that is).

The ever growing grass is beckoning to be trimmed for the first time this year too, but, the sun didn't show until later than expected and the air temperature stuck stubbornly at around 7-8C.
The front lawn though has been covered in detritus caused by significant works next door - tradesmen both failing to find the skip on next door garden or allowing rubbish to simply blow about. Had a skip stuck out there for nearly five months now too. That and the noise starting at 7:30 every morning, even on Sundays. Against regulations, but, what can you do? Skips being changed that early too. The builder himself has been very good and thoughtful - it is all the other trades causing havoc. They seem a law unto themselves. We're hoping the works have nearly finished. Despite work yesterday to do the owners moved back in last night. Hopefully he will clear things up. Fingers crossed. Just got to smile and think -  what goes around comes around!

Then, thought I'd create some heat myself, visually if not literally. Am not as angry and annoyed as my rant might sound. ;-)
