Success!

It may sound dull - indeed it was rather dry - but I was delighted to qualify in 'Managing Successful Programmes' this evening, the result of a highly technical exam communicated by super low-tech yellow sticky!

And actually, on behalf of the project and programme managers' union, I suggest that managing programmes well is very important - and that you should agree!

After all, if such things are done badly, it's you who pays, be it public sector wasting your money on ill-fated programmes which should have been stopped years ago, or your private companies pushing wasteful vanity projects which should never have been allowed to start.

The good news is that, unlike a lot of management, there is accepted good practice in this area, and folk such as me are now getting out there to run stuff better - wish us success!
