The Unknown Man
This is actually a portrait of forensic anthropologist Professor Dame Sue Black at the Scottish National Portrait Gallery and the title refers to the time she spent in Kosovo identifying the victims of war from mass graves. But here it also refers to the bloke on the left.
Very powerful painting.
Walked with @xtoph1 first thing and then wrangled conversations about costume with writer, director and on the phone before catching up with the others for lunch at the gallery. Afterwards and a wander around the paintings we caught the tram back to the West End and V and I stopped off at a favourite clothes shop.
We went out for a second walk - more than Woody normally has! Before going to dinner at a favourite restaurant of theirs in Stockbridge which had delicious Italian food and a warm welcome.
