A funeral, memorial, and celebration of life

I went to a service today for a friend who died.
It was in a church, with clergy present and the deceased’s ashes, and Scriptures were read. A funeral.
There was a slide show of her life from birth to last breath while a relative told her life’s story. A memorial.
And there were favorite folk songs, poems, and readings. At the very end we were ushered out by a band playing “When the Saints come marching in,” which caused us to stand and start clapping and dancing. A celebration.
