Balzac

To London again today to visit another exhibition with my youngest daughter. The exhibition was After Impressionism at the National Gallery. It was a roll-call of the great artists of the early 20th  century including Cezanne, Gaugin, van Gogh, Seurat, Matisse,  Kandinsky, Munch, Klimt and Picasso. The exhibition also includes sculptures including this one of the great French author, Honore de Balzac, by Rodin. It's a typically powerful and imposing piece by one of the most recognisable of sculptors.
