Purple sprouting broccoli

One of the great delights of this time of year is the purple sprouting broccoli. It’s a bit of a project as it has to be grown for around 9 months before the crop is available. But it’s so worthwhile, almost like asparagus.
We did a little in the garden today but the ground is still too cold and wet for much. There are signs of orchids growing and the birdsong is deafening!
