I am exhausted and emotional today. Yesterday was such a horrible day with violent, deadly storms crossing Arkansas. I was so focused on the storms near me and my family,  that I didn't know until later that tornado warnings stretched from Texas to Indiana. Such a strong storm system. 

As I walked around my yard this morning I spotted several crawdad holes. I have a funny fascination with crawdad holes. They dig down to the water level for their homes, bring the excess dirt to the surface and make these structures. I've seem some tower as tall as four inches. I just read that burrowing crawdads are primarily a muisance and an eyesore! I don't think so! I'm intriqued with them. They can live in my yard anytime!

I thought about their homes below the ground where they are safe from storms and then look at my home with tears in my eyes. It is still standing. No damage. If you look closely at the picture you can see my home about mideway on the right side. Even though several tornado warned storms were tracking right to us throughout the day, nothing happened. They each changed directions slightly and missed us. We didn't even have heavy rain, hail or winds. How blessed we are!
 
My oldest grandson works for the street department in the town where he lives. He left this morning with crews to help cleanup in one of the hardest hit areas, Wynne, Arkansas. I am worried for him. He is so young and this will be his first experience seeing and working in devastation. I am also so proud of him! He is in his element when helping others.

My heart is breaking for those who lost so much and for the families of those who lost loved ones.
