Rainbow lorikeets eating white bread

Feeding birds bread is incredibly silly. It harms them. Bread is laden with salt, causes birds to gain weight and can cause deformities in their young. Bread is a long way from a bird's natural diet. 

These two rainbow lorikeets are sitting on next door's recycling bin. In Sydney Park, after years of visitors taking no notice of the don't-feed-the-birds signs, the Council modified the signs to say: if you must, make it grapes or thawed chopped up frozen veggies. I have observed a degree of compliance.
