I bought a gift box of David Shrigley 'designed' beer on Boxing Day when I had to go in to work for a shift and I thought I could do with treating mesen - 4 cans of grapefruit IPA, a bespoke pint glass, postcard, beer mats. Having the first of the cans as I type, thumbs up all round.

Earlier there'd been a day of listening to music and sorting out photos, getting stuff together for printing, finishing my book - the kind of indoor activities perfect for a rainy, misty Friday.

And a trip to the theatre in the evening for How Not To Drown, an impressive piece of work for sure.
