I don't much hold with talk of "a more responsive ride" or "a lively feel" in relation to bicycle tyres, generally being happy if they just resist being punctured, but I was definitely able to tell the difference between these new 40mm Marathons Plus and the previous two-years'-use 40mm Marathons Winter. It's definitely a lot quieter and you don't feel like you might be grinding the studs out by turning too sharply. There was possibly a slight extra springiness caused by the new front wheel getting quite loose towards the end of its first ride.
