Since I put up a bar to hang utensils over the cooker I cannot write messages in the glass splashback cos the hanging things are in the way

So I thought an empty picture frame would do, and a trip to the local second hand furniture place found this.

It was gold, and filled with a print of a large sail boat. I really wanted a fancier frame, but weirdly all the very fancy extravagant type frames had no glass or were the wrong size.

This has been painted to match the wall, new beading added at the back to hold the glass in and now it's on the wall as as message board.
