The King's Pipe.

This I blipped yesterday. Known locality as the King's Pipe this old furnace was used for public burning of contraband tobacco. It was built in 1814.Falmouth.smuggling became more prolific in those days.thick black smoke regularly emerging from this chimney could be seen for miles around. Today it still stands proud at custom house Quay and the custom house is now home to The Stable Restaurant.
