Weather

This picture pretty much sums up today’s weather. We were awoken by heavy rain at 7:45 am. I said jokingly it will probably have stopped by the time we get up. Half an hour later there was bright sunshine. It has continued chopping and changing all day.
Mr isbi wanted to visit Phillip Island where they hold motor cycle Grand Prix racing. We checked out the main town, Cowes, which is very nice and went to the scenic point but it was too early for the famous penguin parade. Then on to the Grand Prix circuit visitor centre where he went through the museum.
We have taken the back roads this afternoon as wanted to see Marysville which was one of worst affected villages in the 2009 Black Saturday bushfires. The town looks beautifully green and lush now but you can see the trees on the top of the hills have still not recovered after all this time.
That has meant we won’t get as far as hoped today so I have just booked to stay in Wangaratta again tonight.
