Grey Mare’s Tail

Higham Hall is one of the very few places that has never changed in the 25 years or so that I have been coming here, the radio is always tuned to radio 4, the food is homely and delicious and the people, students and staff are delightful. This time it’s yoga and walking, and my room overlooks Skiddaw and a field of sheep, no lambs, yet.
The weather forecast was ambiguous so I abandoned ideas to do a longish walk and settled for a few hours in Moffat, walking up to the Grey Mare’s Tail. I stayed mostly dry. Definitely an area to revisit when I have more time. Several hardy walkers were making their way to Loch Skeen to wild swim.
Somewhat iffy connectivity so may need to do some retrospective entries.
