Gatwick departure lounge

Deserted on a Wednesday afternoon.  All was going well until our flight was held up 90 mins waiting on the tarmac, because of French air traffic controller strikes.  Then our car hire was cancelled because we turned up too late, and we had to find a hotel near the airport at short notice, and got stung by a taxi driver who would only take cash not card payments.
After that, things settled down to normality.
