From Castle to Castle!

Visited Craigmillar Castle on southern outskirts of Edinburgh at Little France, a guiding pal & I were doing a reccie as I'm taking a group on Sunday.

It is a hidden gem of Edinburgh, dates back to 14thc, Mary, Queen of Scots visited often in 15thc, it's a ruin now, however, it's a fine example of a medieval castle with lots of spiral staircases & nooks & crannies!

The views as you can see from this blip are stunning! It was such a clear day today, again I Couldn't decide which photo to blip!

Little France takes its name from Mary's French servants who came to Scotland to live with her on her return from France in 1561!

If you've not visited its a gem!
