Cleckheaton Library

E and I took a visit to Cleckheaton to do another of our Offcumdens events. The library is very grand and also very busy. It's a big community success story. The staff are so full of enthusiasm, running all sorts of events and encouraging engagement. It was great to see.

Our event didn't attract a huge audience but pretty much everyone who attended ended up buying a book. That's a result. They were so engaged. I had a blast. We've done enough of these events now to not need to plan anything in advance. Emma reads a few poems and I witter away about photography, often taking the lead from audience questions. The hour passed in a flash.
