Whanganui

The River City is found on the Whanganui River, New Zealand's longest navigable river. When walking around the centre it is best to look up, there is wealth of historic interest above the shops as seen in my college. 

Earlier in the day we visited Bason Botanic Gardens just west of the city. Ideal for walking around but a drive allows you to visit most of it if time is limited. You could easily spend most of the day there. My extra shows just a small snapshot of the gardens. 

Tomorrow we head northwards.
