Holy Trinity Teigh

A lovely walk through one of the Leicestershire villages this morning and then, on the drive to lunch, we visited Holy Trinity Church in Teigh. I've never seen anything quite like it. The pews are on three tiers, facing each other. The pulpit is at the West end, opposite the altar and is a "Strawberry Hill Gothic" gothic style pulpit, prayer desk and Lectern. The triple structure is quite high. Standing at the lectern was high enough but climbing the steep steps into the pulpit was something else!  

We had a lovely soup lunch out at an award winning bakery. Unfortunately the afternoon walk had to be postponed due to rain, but we managed to get out after dinner.
