A change in weather
Today was completely different to yesterday - it snowed all morning and then the snow turned to rain and it rained for most of the afternoon. It was a dull day with poor visibility.
Gavin had zoom meetings this morning and I did a gym workout (I keep a few dumbbells here) When he finished we walked in the falling snow/rain down the hill to the village, where we had coffee and cake at our favourite cafe, Kaffee Klatsch. In the extras you can see the cake we shared, it is a local speciality marroni kuchen, which is chestnut cake - it's gluten free as it is made from chestnut puree and ground almonds and it is so light and delicious.
It has been a dull day to be outside so this afternoon we decided to watch a movie, Living with Bill Nighy. It was not what we expected, it was very slow but I still rather enjoyed it while Gavin gave up. We finished Daisy Jones and The Six last night, it was brilliant. Incredible that the cast learnt to sing and play their instruments for this TV series, and they even had a band camp to practice playing as a band. Riley Keough has a beautiful voice but had not done much singing at all before this show, and also learned to play the piano. She models herself on Stevie Nicks and looks the part, while the gorgeous Sam Claflin who plays the male lead role - supposedly Lindsay Buckingham modelled himself on Bruce Springsteen as Lyndsey Buckingham wasn't an obvious front man on stage. He learnt to sing and play the guitar for the part, much of it done during lockdown.
It's a quiet night at home tonight, roasted vegetables with pasta for supper.
