I’m hiding

I went back this morning to see how the kingfishers were going on. Neither was anywhere near the nest site, although one of the regulars was sure the male was inside.

We went over to the bird hide to keep out of the rain, and the male was just sitting there. He was well settled and close, but was determined to deny us a clear shot, as there were several branches in the way. 

Perhaps he was hiding from the female too.
